Ancestral Strings

After almost 20 years of study, Baba the Storyteller is releasing his debut cd of instrumental acoustic Kora music “Ancestral Strings Acoustic Kora”. The songs are all traditional arrangements, some extending as far back in time as 800 years. The seeds for this cd were first sown in an attempt to unearth lost heritage.

“When I began studying the Kora, I never dreamed that it would one day take me all over the world. At first the instrument offered me a way of meditating & connecting to the past.
Ancestral Strings Acoustic Kora is the birth of that meditation.”

Ancestral Strings Acoustic Kora is filled with gentle, soothing tones. The music is contemplative and exercises the imagination. Hopefully there are those who can appreciate the quiet, reflective nature of this cd and find a home for it in their daily ritual of living.
